Buffalo-berry is a native of central and northern U.S. It grows from 7-18' tall and has grayish-green to silver foliage. Small red berries in large clusters appear during the early summer. Buffalo-berry prefers to grow in dry, alkaline soils in the Midwest. Native Americans used these berries for making jellies.
